Below is the questionnaire that my home church uses to aid them in having the best quality of missionaries supported by their Missions giving. This allows them to be great stewards with the money that God entrusts them to handle. Some of the below questions were geared to missionaries already serving on the field. I am currently just starting out as a missionary and therefore some questions don't apply as others do. I filled this out to share with you where I am today.

  1. How long have you been involved in missions?

    • I have personally given to missions for over 20 years in the form of faith promise giving.

    • I am currently on deputation for the purpose of move to Hungary and establish local New Testament Churches.

  2. How long have you been in your current location/field?

    • I started deputation in November of 2013 my goal Lord willing is to be on the field in Spring of 2016

  3. What suggestions do you have for Grace Baptist Church and other churches to better serve you as our missionary abroad?

    • More prayer.

  4. Briefly explain your strategy for reaching the people group where you are serving?

    • The first step to most new works of foreign missions is language school. My wife and I will enroll in Debrecen University to accomplish this goal.  While here (its a two year course) I plan to establish a church within walking distance of the school. I will start by talking with others and engaging myself in becoming friends with other students and use this friendship to build Bible studies that will lead to the start of a Church.

  5. Please explain what text (Bible,Koran,...ext) you will begin with and how you hope to accomplish the task of soul winning?

    • The Bible is the only place to start. It is the truth of the Word that will shed light on false religion and false hopes.

  6. What specific short-term goals do you have within the next six months?

    • Raise support to get to the field (Nov 2013)

  7. What are your specific long-term goals over the next two years?

    • Arrive on the field and start language school.

  8. Please explain how an individual is saved?

    • Admitting that they are in need of a Savior due to their individual sin.

    • Believing that Jesus is the only way for salvation to eternal life.

    • Confession that sin to God and asking Jesus to forgive and save them. Believing that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again.

  9. Who is Jesus Christ?

    • Son of God.

    • Born of the virgin Mary.

    • One person of the Trinity.

  10. What do you believe to be the most important part of each day?

    • Starting with an heart attitude of Pray.

  11. What do you believe and teach about baptism?

    • The very word itself means to dunk. This tells us that baptism in form is not anything but a complete immersion.

    • In practice it is an outward sign to the world that you have believed on Jesus and is now born again.

    • It symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. (This is the Gospel)

    • It identifies you with the church and is the door to enter into church membership.

  12. What is your position regarding the authority of the Scriptures?

    • In the English language, I believe that the KJV is the best available copy of the Word of God.

  13. What do you believe about the church, as described in the Word of God?

    • Jesus established the church with him as the cornerstone. Matthew 16:18

  14. What is your philosophy for missions?

    • Missions as a word, is not found in the Bible is it a practice that is seen in the life of Jesus and passed down to the disciples. From the disciples through the ages,  it is passed to us. To say I am a missionary general is just saying that I have been called and committed to going to a certain part of the world to reach others for Christ. True missions become a lifestyle that every Christian lives. It is the great commission that is wrapped up  in the word “go”. We are sent out of a local church with the purpose of reproduction (lives changed by the gospel).

  15. Are you training leaders?

    • I am training myself through daily Bible reading and being involved in ministry where I can.

    • I am training my family through leadership and example. (my first calling)

  16. If so, what does your training consist of specifically?

    • Prayer and Bible Study

    • Podcasts of Bible preaching and teaching

    • Church attendance and participation.

    • Staying clean before God.

  17. What are you doing to reach individuals?

    • Life testimony

    • Talking with others about Christ sharing the gospel.

  18. On a scale of 1-10, how important is it for you to learn the language in the field that you are working on, and why do you think so?

    • 10- How can I reach a people group for Christ if I can't talk with them in their heart language?

  19. What do you believe is your main purpose for being on the field?

    • Fulling the great commission

  20. If available, would you be interested in receiving, by mail or email, recorded messages that our pastor has recently preached? If so, how often would you like to receive these messages?

    • Yes- I currently receive the podcasts.
