" A picture is worth... a thousand words"
I want to share that one of the biggest reasons Senja came was to learn what it would take to get insulin in Hungary. However under pressure and a short time frame was not the method that we would have liked. with great surprise we were able to make an appointment quickly and easily with a local doctor at First Med in Budapest and within a two-hour window, Senja had the needed insulin. Now, that is not the end you see we still had to get insulin needles and that was a communication mishap! First, the friends that were helping us did not know anything about insulin so while we tried to describe what was needed and there was a loss of words in the communication. Senja finally took a picture into the pharmacy and we got the correct needles. Praise the Lord. Well you would think that the story ends there, but it do not. You would think that once everything was stolen in a large city like that that there was no hope of recovery of the lost items, but you would be wrong. Can you believe that we received a call from a local garbage man who had found some of the items in a garbage pail! Unbelievable, now while the electronics was probably sold by now we did get back a ton of things. Bibles and books and glasses and keys to name a few items praise the Lord!

Remember that the Lord said that he will come as a thief in the night, it was thieves that Jesus used in the Good Samaritan sermon. Thieves are not new, they are as old as the lying devil himself so I am not shocked or surprised that we were stolen from. I am thankful that no one was hurt, no one suffered any persecution and no one really lost much. Stuff is stuff and that is that. What did happen was a chance to say wow Budapest needs the Lord! Pray for Budapest, pray for labourers that can reach out and point these thieves to their Saviour.

Here are three things that I learned from many things while in Hungary this trip

1. My normal is not Hungarian normal. This can apply to just about everything.

2. The need for Christ was highlighted only as God could.

3. Learning the language is the most important first step on arrival.
