Day Twenty-One- Desire for Closeness

Even though the Hungarians are relationship oriented, forced relocation programs by past administrations severed many emotional ties and created an environment of mistrust. A recent Gallup poll showed that more than seventy percent of Hungarians say they do not have a best friend. In their small circle of friends they continue to search for at least one person they can open up their heart to. Please pray that the Hungarians will come to know Jesus who is the best friend of all, and that the need for human friendship will be satisfied through His local church.

“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
