PS 119:148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
The Bible is a book in which we may continually meditate, and yet not exhaust its contents. Here is it believed and debated upon by theologians to the fact that David didn’t wait till the cry of morning by the solider on watch was upon him to awake and meditate on God’s word. In practical terms, when he woke up he stayed up with the purpose of worship to his God. I can not think of another way to better start a day then to rise up and read and pray over the Word of God. Some believe that this was before 4AM, maybe the Lord has something to prepare you for that day that will need extra protection from His word. Eph 6 comes to mind putting on the whole armor of God.
